Di-Faced Tenner
2004
Offset Lithograph

Here we can see a fake £10 banknote that represents the face of the late Princess Diana instead of the Queen of England, printed on a paper identical to the one used on official UK-issued currency.
The phrases on the banknote were also edited by the artist, and it's possible to read: “Banksy of England / I promise to pay the bearer on demand the ultimate price.”
Banksy made £1,000,000 worth of fake currency copies for artistic performance in 2004, in which he dropped the fake tenners on the Notting Hill Carnival and at the Reading Festival.
This piece was later acquired by the British Museum.
